Mine was probably … Mine was probably Nintendo Power. That was the only one I ever liked to read. When I was younger I used to be a fulltime Nintendo and Sony fan. I couldn’t really get my hands on the Playstation magazines, but there were Nintendo Powers all over the place. I remember just going to Wal-Mart, into the electronics section to take a copy of Nintendo Power and just look through the whole thing. Amazing experience.
I still get that … I still get that game informer mag because of that gamestop deal, but I honestly don’t like how they are all AMERICAN GAMES RULE and they seem to despise everything from japan. I don’t even like the direction the gaming industry is heading, I would gladly stay living in the gaming-glorious 90′s and early 00′s for the rest of my life. Sorry for the long series of comments but you REALLY hit me with your video!

I never was … (cont.)
I never was too into american mags (language barrier+twice as expensive compared to hispanic ones), but I liked EGM because of it’s HUGE size and great overall quality. I’m proud to say though that I learned most if not all of my english by reading american videogame magazines ^^. Because of the internet and the dissappearance of my favorite mag (SuperJuegos) I don’t buy mags anymore, unfortunately.
Wow I almost shed a … Wow I almost shed a tear watching this video lol. I even own that very same DC magazine you had in your hands, I remember I bought it specifically because of an enclosed GD-disc full of demos and videos. Being puertorrican, I read mostly hispanic publications (Club Nintendo magazine from Venezuela and later from Mexico) and SuperJuegos (from Spain, my favorite ever, super hardcore with lots of info from the japan scene and GREAT unbiased reviews).
Totally! Gamefan … Totally! Gamefan were the best for screen shots and little walkthroughs, plus they turned me onto the import scene. I think it was the cover art that made me buy my first issue ,with Earthworm Jim on the cover.Whats funny is how well they were made! With glue binding on the spine and not staples like Gamepro so its my only old school mags that survived all these years.
they are coming … they are coming back they said they are making a new portable system i forgot what it is called look it up its in some claw machines in london well that what it says on the internet any way so yeah go look it up if you want
I liked Game … I liked Game Players the best. I loved how all the editors picked on eachother and they had the pretend “BOX” you’d get thrown in during the week if Bill didn’t like your opinion. Just an overall cool magazine which I think turned into IGN.
For me in the UK… … For me in the UK…. Computer and Video Games (CVG) or perhaps Gamesmaster. I would say ‘Sega Saturn Magazine’, but they me over with a prize I won fair and square for my star letter.
i believe that was … i believe that was it, i never got the first, but i got that and was hooked, though also the store always had out of date magazines or they just never stocked the next months
oh man I remember … oh man I remember my first video game magazine! It was Nintendo Power and it had the photo of the guy holding a vampire head, and I just thought “WOAH” and picked it up, I wish my mom didn’t throw them out years ago, and I never understood why she did that, i always had the shelf in my room for them so its not like they got in anyones way…
