How to stop all the magazines and newspapers subscriptions to be delivered to your home before you travel?

I am leaving overseas for three months and I will have my mail on hold in the post office. I just do not want to receive in the post office tons of magazines which I am subscribed to.

Also I want to stop my daily newspapers which is delivered to my door everyday.

Is there is a few online sources you could use to postponed the services or I have to contact each magazine and newspaper individually to stop receiving them for three months?

The newspapers: simply call the newspaper itself, and have delivery stopped indefinitely, tell them you will contact them when you return.

As for the post…just tell the post office to hold all mail. You might be able to do the same as the newspaper with your magazines. Generally, you get those three months put on the end of your subscription…so that if it would end in April, you now have it end in July.

for your newspaper you just have to call their customer service phone number and give them your hold dates. it’s usually somewhere on the front page. not sure about the magazines.

You could either contact the magazines individually, or just let the Post Office collect them and toss them out when you pick up your mail.

My Post Office has a huge recycling bin right next to the area where you pick up hold mail.

And you need to contact the newspaper directly. Handy hint: Have a friend drive by your house periodically to make sure it hasn’t been delivered. Sometimes a substitute driver won’t get the information. (This has happened to me.)
