The interview is interesting — the fact that Belsky somehow feels like he needs to defend the decision to put Parker on the cover says something about how people tend to view women and sports, and how far we still have to go.

No that’s totally inaccurate. They had already done a cover story photoshoot with Candace in December BEFORE she announced she was pregnant.
The magazine issue was due out in March (for Women’s History Month), when everyone knew Candace would be seven months pregnant. So they decided re-shoot everything with her.
