This is one of my … This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Not only beautifully composed, but the lyrics are spot on. That last bit, “and then I just got tired,” couldn’t have been sung an a better fashion. The character really comes through so perfectly. I heard Morrissey’s version of this and was pleasantly surprised, but I can’t say I’m a big Morrissey fan otherwise (though I haven’t heard much else).
