Does Hollister ever offer like coupons or discount…?

March 10, 2010 - 5:20 am 13 Comments

You know how like pacsun has the pacloot and sometimes in magazines they give you coupons for aeropostale or american eagle… do they have any coupons for hollister? Or does hollister give out such a thing like that?

Just wondering.

You should probably just join their emailing list. Then they will send you upcoming promotions and sales. I’m not sure if they ever give coupons, but I know they have clearence. The clearence is usually really cheap.
–Although I majorly dislike Hollister.:o)

Legit magazine subscription websites?

March 8, 2010 - 4:27 am 2 Comments

Hi all, can anyone recommend a legit website for discounted magazine subscriptions? I have read some horror stories about scams involving locking people into several years worth of subscriptions that they never signed up for, etc. I know to read the fine print and all, but if anyone has a legit company they’ve dealt with, I’d really appreciate the info. Thanks very much :c)

The manager of a newsagent ordered 70 copies of XYZ magazine?

March 6, 2010 - 4:27 am 1 Comment

s of these were charged at 95p each and the remainder, d, were charged at a discounted
price of 85p each. The bill for all 70 copies was £62.00. How many magazines
were charged at the discounted price? Solve using simultaneous equations.

s + d = 70
.95s + .85d = 62

multiply first equation by .95, then sebtract 2nd equation to eliminate s:

.95s + .95d = 66.5
– (.95s + .85d = 62)
—————————–
.10d = 4.5
d = 4.5/0.1
d = 45

s + d = 70
s + 45 = 70
s = 70 – 45
s = 25

25 copies were charged at 95p and 45 copies were charged at 85p

what happens to out of date magazines?

February 20, 2010 - 2:38 am 11 Comments

I am trying to find a source to donate or discount recent past issues to send in care packages to Soldiers in Iraq. Can anyone send me in the right direction?

Donate them to a thrift store like the Salvation Army, they use the money to help others. I buy magazines from thrift stores all the time!
