I am majoring in Communications with a minor in English. I am planning on joining the schools newspaper team. I was wondering how I would go about getting a job with a fashion magazine. Would I have to intern first?

Yes, interning at a fashion magazine is your best bet. The bad thing is that internships at Vogue and other top fashion magazines are very hard to get because so many people apply.

Another option is starting your own fashion blog and gaining a lot of followers. If your blog becomes popular enough, you will be invited to cover fashion shows. This would look great on a resume and help you stand out when you seek internships.

I was thinking about getting a subscription or two. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Interviews and info about band members not just cheesy gossip and chat about love life.

Gig guides.There also has to be pictures and people’s views on concerts. The price too.

Album releases with ratings (like Kerrang do).

Info on up and coming bands or not so mainstream bands.

Posters that would actually look good on a bedroom wall. (Too many magazines have stuff that just look stupid and would be unthinkable to put up.

Donate the magazines to an elementary school. I did and my daughter’s art class used them for colages. For the books, donate them to an age appropriate school, or your local library.

i’m planning to subscribe to Seventeen magazine, and i’m going to choose 36 issues for $15. So my question is, after the 36 issues, will they continue to mail me issues and charge me until i unsubscribe, or does the subscription just ends after the 36?

How does it work?
I’m scared they will continue to withdraw money from my bank account and keep sending me magazines even when my subscription is over.

there shouldn’t be…does your school have a mailroom or does mail get delivered to your dorm…i worked in the mailroom at my school and those babies always were there on time
