I’d like a copy, and I’m not sure which way is the best. Local magazine vendors do not have the foreign issues, clearly.
Also, I don’t need a year round subscription, perhaps just an issue or two.

For our career planning project we are doing a project about what we want to be when we grow up. And I want to be a fashion magazine editor. But, I need to know how the job prospects are… Have any ideas?

Technically the prospect of editor does not just fall on the shoulders of journalistic prowess, its a job for a candidate that not only picks the best content available but understands the appeal of the product the magazine writes about. In terms of becoming an actual magazine editor the window is very small and not many people will get such an honor in their lifetime. It requires years of dedication that most people just aren’t willing to put into it, see the story of Anna Wintour.

I have a pet product that I think many magazines would be interested in for their magazines (we are not interested in paid advertising at this point). This is a large product, so it is hard to send out samples to magazines. How can we get a magazine to feature our product, and also will they take their own pictures of the product or use images that we send them?

You’re going to have to be choosy, but you will need to send samples for the magazine to review. Magazines only profit by selling advertising- a story in essence would be free advertising and unless there is some angle that can be worked, an editor is not going to give the go-ahead on a product story with no interesting qualities. For example, if you had invented and marketed a new dog collar that keeps the dog from barking without electric shock or anything uncomfortable or painful and had trainers using it, you might be able to sell a story, however, if your product was just smaller than existing models, there is no story there.

I am looking for a magazine subscription (print copy, not an online magazine), in Arabic. Something that would include entertainment news, women’s issues, fashion, etc. would be great. Published either in the USA or abroad are both fine, but I need it sent to me in the United States. Anyone know of any that are available?

I have years and years of Cosmpolitan and cooking magazines that I cannot part with. They are great to take along when traveling, the beach, lend to friends if they’re in the hospital, I love looking back at them here and there, you get the idea. I don’t want to toss them but have no idea where to stash these?

have a bonfire and invite your friends over. Thats what I would do ha ha lol. Actuallly with all my old magazines I make magazine collage art. Its a great way to kill time.

I am just starting out on a small venture of hand made products and I wanted to get my products promoted in magazines. I am interested in small articles that talk about new finds etc. How do we get the attention of those magazines? Do I send them my samples and pray for the best or is there a more sure fire way?

I am talking about magazines like Oprah, Living, etcor any popular lifestayle magazines.

I am guessing that once recommended, these products get great sales.

Getting to the best advertising spots may be difficult try writing reader digest, Im sure they would be happy to help you in your venture.
